Software specifications for uncertainty evaluation

This document provides specifications of software units for the evaluation of measurement uncertainty. It is intended to align with and support established guides and extend their functionality in a consistent manner. It is also intended to complement the best-practice guide to uncertainty evaluation that has been produced as part of the UK Department of Industry’s National Measurement System Software Support for Metrology (SSfM) programme. The target audience is those who in their work wish to use software to assist in the evaluation of uncertainty. This document is a revised edition of a previous report, accounting for revision of the SSfM best-practice guide to uncertainty evaluation and the preparation of the first Supplement to the “Guide to the expression of uncertainty in measurement” (GUM).
